The Persian Gulf War Debate

Critical Opinion

How Americans Felt

During the war, when Americans soldiers were in the Middle East, there were many concerns. Iraq’s forces had a lot of time in war and knew that they are a bit “rusty”. Oman was the only Gulf nation that had a good amount of people with war experience. Iraq was a “portable war”. - George H.W. Bush

How Iraqi's felt

All of the Iraqis did not agree on what they thought about the Persian Gulf war. The Iraqi's from the North just want the  U.S. protection because some of them were rich and are doctors and they did not want to get killed and they wanted to keep their good life. The Iraqis in the south did not want the U.S. military to leave so they could terrorize all of the other Iraqis that were rich so they could rob them and get the money from the rich Iraqi's. -Howie Smith
